Award-winning director and writer Weston Porter's work combines raw emotion with a distinctive style that includes bold use of color, sound, and careful composition. His intimate character studies are at once enigmatic and atmospheric in nature, and his work focuses on many facets of the human condition, including sexuality, gender roles, identity, masculinity, alienation, and human psychology. His critically acclaimed and award-winning short film Line of Fire has been recognized at numerous film festivals worldwide. Having worked with a wide range of talent, from fresh faces to Academy Award nominees, Weston believes that collaboration is at the heart of a truly great film. Passionate about cinema from an early age and a graduate of the University of Southern California's prestigious School of Cinematic Arts with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film & Television Production, he is drawn to personal stories that examine difficult topics and situations.
